Classic Homemade Meatloaf (Print Version)
Ingredients:

1 large egg.

1/3 cup milk.

1 tsp Worcestershire sauce.

1/2 cup plain breadcrumbs.

1 tsp Italian seasoning.

1/2 tsp garlic powder.

1 tsp salt.

1/4 tsp black pepper.

1/2 cup chopped onion.

1.5 lbs ground beef (85/15).

1/2 cup ketchup.
12 -
1 Tbsp brown sugar.
13 -
1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce.

1 tsp yellow mustard.
Instructions:

Heat oven to 350ºF.

Mix egg, milk, and Worcestershire sauce in a small bowl.

In another bowl, mix breadcrumbs, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.

Chop up the onion.

Put the beef, egg mix, seasoned breadcrumbs, and onion in a big bowl. Mix everything together with your hands until it's combined, but don't overmix or it'll get tough.

Put the meat on a baking pan and shape it into a loaf about 4 inches wide, 8 inches long, and 2 inches tall.

Mix the topping ingredients in a bowl: ketchup, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, and mustard.

Spread the topping all over the top and sides of the loaf.

Bake for 50-55 minutes until it hits 165ºF inside.

Let it sit for 5-10 minutes before cutting.

Make sure it's 165ºF in the middle so you know it's done.
